  1. I didn’t like Brought The Heat Back. I feel like it’s super unpopular though because so many people say it was one of their favorites from the album.

  2. i might get torn apart for this, but the trailer with all the action and guns got me really hyped up, and then when the EP was released it fell a little flat for me.

  3. When I first listened the whole album I didn’t like it at all. I was like “what is this?” I was shocked that the sound was so so different from the previous albums but for context I started stanning Enha right after i-land ended and stayed stanning until maybe blessed-cursed era then I took a break from kpop for like 2 almost 3 years and I started catching up with their music this year and when i listened to the album I was shocked. But like I gave it a shot and listened more and also catched up with the lore because I missed a whole bunch of things. Now I can’t stop listening to all songs.

R: U grew on me, not like the previous albums that I instantly liked

A whole album with ***one*** bridge is really not acceptable, nearly everything is under 3 minutes, people need to raise their standards this was their worst album yet. I was already used to their TTs having no bridge and looked forward to the other tracks, but now every track is incomplete. It’s a shame because I really liked the sound of paranormal and royalty, but how it is every song on the album besides bthb might as well cut off another minute because it’s the same first chorus repeated twice. Bridges add interest and final chorus with instrumental change, even sweet venom’s barely passable bridge and final chorus it made it interesting

I was especially ticked off with people celebrating moonstruck as a full song completely ignoring how its barely passing the requirements to even be one. I would rather take the narrated intro version of moonstruck if it existed over its half baked current iteration.

I fear the next album will once again be 10 songs of 2:30 length (really just a 1:15 song repeated twice), and people will be pleased.

  5. It’s the first enhypen album in which I don’t listen to even half of the songs. I dislike all of them except for BTHB. I think that enhypen’s releases since dark blood have overall gotten worse.

  6. It’s probably my least favorite album, most of the songs felt really flat. paranormal, xo, bthb and mayyybe hundred broken hearts are the only songs I’d play by choice, the only ones that doesn’t sound flat TO ME. Sure, the rest isn’t bad, sure I wouldn’t skip them, but I think the fact I can’t even hum one right now by memory nor guess the name with just hearing it shows that(to me) they aren’t rlly memorable. I stan enhypen since the predebut, I’m used to the sudden 180 degree turns of genre, concept and melodies, so it’s not just that I’m not used to this. It just felt plain, flat, and I don’t truly believe all the ppl saying this was their BEST or should be AOTY. engene pls don’t let fanaticism blind you, if you truly loved the album that’s great, it was worth a lot of work by enhypen and many effort ofc, but not just cause they are enhypen every single thing they do is send from heaven (even if 90% of their songs sound like it🙈)

This post is so refreshing, I felt like I was CRAZY for not liking most of the songs on the album. I really only like Brought the Heat Back, Paranormal, and Royalty. Brought the Heat Back absolutely should have been the title track because XO is so underwhelming in comparison.

Hundred Broken Hearts is an awful song and I hate that it was promoted alongside XO. I’m not a huge fan of XO either, but Paranormal or Royalty should have been promoted alongside XO instead if they were gonna save Brought the Heat Back for later. I’d even take Your Eyes Only, although it’s not my favorite.

Also… Highway 1009 is not a good song. I don’t care if it’s our fansong, it’s really boring and I wish we got something more upbeat or at least more interesting.

edit: LMAO can’t believe I’m getting downvoted for having an unpopular opinion in an unpopular opinion post.

Definitely one of their weakest cb’s if you ask me… I don’t hate it, but considering that we went from Given-Taken and Drunk-Dazed all the way down to XO kind of makes me sad lol. I need Enhypen to re-enter their hip hop era…

  9. How are these unpopular opinions when I’ve yet to see anyone on here write anything nice about this album? I’ve even come from an “Idols going astray artistically” post on another sub and this album got mentioned.

So my unpopular opinion is that I love it and Moonstruck might be one of my favourite Kpop album openers ever. I adore it.

Since this seems to be an unpopular opinion: I loved this cb and Moonstruck is genuinely one of their best b-sides to date.

  11. I guess this is unpopular given it’s opposite of the comments here. I can’t vibe with their dark-vampire concept. I’m a few years older than them so the mysterious-vampire vibe is too much for me.

However, Romance Untold is a really creative approach to the vampire concept. It’s light, fun, and doesn’t take itself too seriously. I also love all the songs in it. I can listen to it everyday whether I’m happy or sad.

Their older songs need me to be in a certain, heavy mood to listen to them (though I still love them). I don’t think I would’ve been an Engene if they never evolved past the serious-vampire concept. I’m looking forward to them moving forward from that.

  12. i love this album but we can’t keep letting belift get away with these 2 minute songs that don’t have a bridge🫠

When I first listened to the album, it wasn’t my favorite. Even the title was a little meh to me. But after listening to it a few more times and knowing what the theme is, I like it quite a lot. It’s different compared to their previous stuff to me but it’s enjoyable. And I find myself going back to it when I want to listen to them. This album is probably my third choice out of their albums for me.
