Getting into NewJeans reignited my passion to write and create music after a really long time. They really mean so much to me for it, and although I'm not very good, I want to at least try and just enjoy expressing myself. Otherwise, I've been so happy to watch them live a dream that I simply couldn't.
…but… with everything going on recently, seeing them be so effected, their Phoning interactions, Hanni posting her song… it all really moved me. So I wrote a song in a similar style inspired by their messages and status updates. To be honest, I feel like this is the cheesiest thing I've ever done. But I mean every bit of it, and even though it's not the best, it's the best I can do, and it's the words I only wish they could hear so they could feel that Bunnies really treasure them — no matter what. I'm sure I'm not alone in how I feel!
While it's obvious that the lyrics are pretty specific to them, I tried to write it vaguely enough that maybe anyone could relate to it. Maybe you need to hear this, and for at least the next 3 and a half minutes you could believe that you are loved, that you matter, and that you are never truly alone.
