240906 Gallup Korea Survey: NewJeans ranks 3rd in ‘The Most Loved K-pop Girl Group of the 21st Century’ & Ditto ranks 9th in ‘The Most Loved K-pop Hit Songs of the 21st Century’
>NewJeans ranked third with 25% of the votes. Debuting in July 2022, NewJeans quickly dominated both domestic and international music charts with their hits Attention and Hype Boy. Their retro styles, such as hip-hop, old school, and New Jack Swing, resonated especially with fans in their 30s and 40s. By age, they received 25% of the votes from those aged 19–29, 23% from those in their 30s, 30% from those in their 40s, 28% from those in their 50s, and 16% from those in their 60s.
>In just one year since their debut, NewJeans climbed to the top of the charts and won multiple awards at various ceremonies, solidifying their position as a leading fourth-generation girl group. Recently, they filled all 50,000 seats at Japan’s Tokyo Dome, including restricted-view seats, generating massive excitement. With plans for a world tour in 2025, they are set to bring their energetic performances to global stages, and anticipation is high for their continued rise following in the footsteps of Girls’ Generation and BLACKPINK.

>The “Star News 20th Anniversary Survey” was conducted by Gallup Korea from August 19 to 23, surveying 1,052 men and women aged 19 to 69 nationwide. The poll allowed participants to choose two favorite groups from a list of 20, based on relevant charts, awards, and the opinions of entertainment journalists. The margin of error was ±3.0 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. Data was weighted according to the July 2024 population statistics from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
