I genuinely cannot get over how amazing this was… the visuals, the vocals, that chorus is such an earworm and they all look stunning!! Their debut songs were already some of my top songs of this year and this now just seals the deal, I may have found a new main group and my rookie of the year!!
SIde note, does anyone else think this part (0:39 onwards) sound so similar (in a good way) to the chorus of Red Velvet’s Cosmic? I thought this part sounded familiar so I had to think and to me it’s that same melody of Cosmic

The verses are that fine-enough pop-funk that I can nod my head along to but kind of zone out when listening to, so when the chorus came in it took me a second to realize that it had me floating off the ground. That’s one of my favorite choruses of the year. The editing on the vocals make it sound like there’s 100 of them singing in unison. It’s so bright, yet softened by the reverb.
MV kept getting better as it went along, too. Very trendy at times. I really like what Rescene are doing, man. I’m almost at the point where I can stop getting them confused with New Zealand’s second largest paint manufacturer. Almost.

This is a good comeback!! I really like when a group is able to cement their identity quickly & you can hear the similarities between UhUh, YoYo & this. UhUh has been my favourite debut of the year so far & the first comeback does not disappoint!

Their producers really like those throaty deep funky basslines, it gives their songs a distinctive style. Tasty combination of darker verses and a bright and glitzy chorus. They’re putting out some really good and catchy electropop, and they look so coot in this MV too.

Classic chorus paired with genuinely interesting production that goes to exciting places… they really know how to make an impression. I’m still waiting on MADEIN but man, RESCENE might just have ROTY locked-in for me.

I was so scared with the talk singing opening (I’d go so far as to say I hate that bit, sorry) but the first bridge kicked in and the whole song elevated from there. Such a great comeback!

Love the chorus so it’s going straight into my playlist for that reason but I’m not so sure about the rest of the song, it sounds like two completely different songs thrown together but maybe that’ll make it more memorable who knows.

It’s interesting that the song isn’t that much longer than most songs nowadays (that people would say are too short) but the chorus and post chorus are insanely satisfying this doesn’t feel short at all.
