Not to be outdone by the HYBE-MHJ drama, the SM-Kakao drama (also featuring HYBE) also resumes airing this summer season! Stay tuned for the 2-episode premiere. Only on Disney+ ***finger snap sfx***

  2. Well this explains why Kakao suddenly wanted to sell off like 80% of their affiliate companies lol.

  3. why are these people not happy with all the money they got, top 1% in the world and they still want more like damn

  4. I’m just wondering if Hybe will get some sort of restitution from this. They clearly would have become SM majority shareholder if not for Kakao market manipulation.

BTW, I’m happy Hybe bowed out because SM has issues. It’s much better for Hybe not to be involved with SM. Still it leaves a sour taste that Kakao’s illegal maneuverings allowed them to get what they wanted.

  5. So, HYBE really should be the owner of SM right now? Wow. That’s a thing that happened.

  6. not a single boring day in the K-Pop world as long as you have these greedy people lol

It’s like SM is just destined to be led by crooks.

Save the artists, their managers, and the rest of the creative team and burn the whole fucking thing to the ground.

  8. Kakao should be forced to sell either SM or Starship now, so HYBE can get close(r) to an IZONE reunion  🤣🤡😭

  9. KOREABOO HEADLINE:

HYBE TO CLOSE DOWN SM. IMPRISON HARMLESS OLD MAN. ALSO, NEW JEANS.

  10. I’m sorry because this is irrelevant to the story but this picture is so funny…the photoshop is poorly done, he’s tugging at his collar like GULP GUESS I GOT CAUGHT, the fog?? Why 😭

  11. Kakao is currently in deep trouble and they are struggling staying afloat, their share prices have fallen tragically, and are now resorting to selling their subsidiaries, including SM entertainment and Kakao entertainment.

HYBE still owns 12% of SM’s shares, so it’s definitely within the realm of possibility that they might buy out the remaining shares to secure the majority shareholder status, which would definitly be the funniest outcome after everything that transpired lmao

Curious about what happens to Kakao entertainment though. ALL of Starship artists and Kakao M artists are under Kakao entertainment, and the only other entity (aside from HYBE) that I can see has the means and interest to buy out SM would be CJ, assuming no foreign entities are involved or sovereign funds. CJ used to be the direct rivals of Kakao and I can only imagine how happy they are to see their downfall
