Their music is so chill that I didn't realize it at first, but NewJeans's choreography is actually often super busy, with a lot of rapid and high energy movements in stark contrast to the chill vibe of the audio. They also have some of the best, most believable facial expressions I've ever seen in an idol group (e.g. Hanni/Minji clip).
And most of all, my favorite quality is how all five members unexpectedly have swag in their own individual fashion. Haerin, Minji, and Hanni especially surprise me with how hiphop their dance styles are (e.g. Haerin/Minji TikTok, Haerin TikTok). Hyein's swag to me is in her almost arrogant facial expressions, e.g. this moment when she looks to the side (Hyein clip). Dani's is also in her facial expressions, I consider her to have some of the best expressions in all of Kpop, they are so believable – e.g. in this clip she looks like she's actually attracted to the viewer (Dani clip).
I'm a 95% variety, 5% music/performance Kpop fan, so personality and group synergy are what I value most when stanning a group. I was already a Tokki because NewJeans has these in spades, but as I continue seeing surprising qualities in their performance side of things, I find myself becoming an even bigger fan.
Tl;dr NJ is amazing both on and off the stage

that’s why they have so many haters. some toxic people just have that mentality of “it’s not enough that i succeed, others should fail” 🙄

This is actually one of the reasons why I stanned them. You can actually see how they practiced hard because of how chill and relax their expressions are compared to choreography that they do.
People, most often, don’t realize the amount of hard work and amount of practice they have had to do, to be able to pull off their choreography while still having it look easy. Pulling that off is hard.
I would say especially with super shy, the running, the feet shuffles in place, those are cardio workout dance moves, and to be able to still hit it with the uniformity that was also needed, all while being vocally stable too, was crazy for them. They’re insanely talented. 🤌👏👏👏👏
New jeans is the best Kpop I have heard in the last 15 years.
I have never seen kpop chemistry quite like this it’s so pure and talented in multi-faceted ways yet cohesive… I was easily mesmerized!
