1.) Simply one of the beautifully-made music videos of TWICE. It was perfect, down to every last minute detail.
2.) This was an another addition to the proofs that even TWICE couldn't fumble when it comes to their DEBUTS. This is such a great debut title track and hey, partnered with a no-skip album too.
3.) Giving a huge props to the lyricists of this song : JYP and Mayu Wakisaka for contributing on making MISAMO's debut hugely successful. Not everyone can create a song about consent nowadays especially in K-Pop. The lyrics was masterfully written, most particularly the chorus.
4.) I love how they also put every detail come into sense to the words / title of their album and song MASTERPIECE and DO NOT TOUCH. They methaphorically described consent as an artwork where their lovers can only watch for now but they don't have to touch… YET unless they allow them so. That final scene in the music video where MISAMO turns into a portrait to symbolize them being a masterpiece to admire just sums up the entire point of what the song and the album about.
5.) The style they were wearing here are also extravagantly perfect for them. It's actually a great decision to make MISAMO sing about consent while at the same time, they were like doing it in a teasing or seducive manner so that they can use the charms that MISAMO's visuals possess and so that they can express to their lover on what they're going to expect once they finally have the perfect time to do so. It's like they are actually not entirely against the idea of it but rather they're just not sure rather if they're ready and it's not easy for them, I hope yall get what I mean.
6.) The art references they have put in the music video which makes the music video even more artistically beautiful, such as The Birth Of Venus from Momo's part where she is in a seashell and The Swing from Mina's part on the bridge where she's sitting on a swing.
7.) Even though this is technically not a TWICE song that features all of them as a group, but I will still consider it as their achievement of what MISAMO have accomplished for still being a part of the group. This is their first Japanese song to be uploaded in JYP Entertainment's main YouTube channel.
8.) This currently has 110 million views so far and I believe it deserves more because the song is just amazing. If this was uploaded in their TWICE Japan channel, this song would've been their fourth most-viewed Japanese MV, surpassing One More Time. (But maybe we could still consider it)
9.) Talking about TWICE's talent on showcasing their duality and versatility, just look at the contrast of their concept in their pre-release b-side Marshmallow to what we have witnessed on them in Do Not Touch. Like I said before, even if it's a solo or sub-unit debut, they still haven't forgotten to put a little touch from their roots.
10.) Lastly, this showed again also that JYPE's department team in Japan are geniuses when it comes on pulling off various concepts to try for TWICE. They know the agenda of making TWICE experiment things that we haven't actually seen from them before and would have you think twice (no pun intended) if this is really the girl's song. This is one of my most favorite Japanese title track of TWICE whether it's group or sub-unit. Can't wait again to see what would be their next concept for their first comeback soon.
